Tourists are increasingly interested in ethical elephant sanctuaries in Thailand, including those in Phuket. Social media trends mostly focus on activities and responsible interaction at these ethical sanctuaries.

When talking about an "ethical elephant sanctuary," we mean the sanctuary prioritizes the well-being of the elephants above all else. Here are some key aspects of an ethical sanctuary for elephants:

- No riding, performances, or tricks: These activities are stressful and often require cruel training methods.

- Focus on rescue and rehabilitation: The sanctuary takes in elephants who have been abused, neglected, or used for labor, and provides them with a safe haven to recover.

- Natural habitat: The elephants have plenty of space to roam freely in a habitat that resembles their natural environment, with opportunities for foraging, socializing, and mud wallowing.

-Minimal interaction with visitors: Visitors observe the elephants from a respectful distance to minimize stress. Interactions are focused on enrichment, not entertainment.
